Here’s a photo from the the first ever Miss America pageant. I like how pretty much every woman is wearing flat type of boots.  The first pageant occurred in 1921 at Atlantic City. In case you’re wondering who won, its the third woman from the left.

Polyvore is addictive!! My style usually is described as old lady, but lately I’ve been trying to step out of the box, and  am digging crop tops. I don’t know when I would wear this outfit but a gal can dream. I like that if you look closely you can see tiny little bunnies on the skirt.

Have you ever had that moment where you “discover” something new to listen to, only to realize that band has been in your music library for over a year now. Well, this happened to me a few months ago when I came across Oberhofer playing on Letterman. Discovering new music has always been exciting for me, especially when they are this good. The band has been playing in the house non-stop for a few days now. Take a listen and see for yourself, I told you they were catchy.

So, this blog was supposed to have lots of “food porn” but the trouble is, it’s hard to take pictures daily of all the food we eat. There’s so many recipes that I want to try that I even have a tab bar dedicated to food. Since arriving to the US, Ian has come to the belief that we do not have any decent bread here. He has taken it upon himself to make his own bread. A lot of work goes into making bread but seriously once you try straight out of the oven  bread you realize that there is no comparison.

These pictures make me realize that we eat a lot of Italian food, which only gets me thinking of Italy. Lately I’ve had a sense of nostalgia for that country, maybe its all the Bourdain I’ve watched or the fact that two years ago my cousin and I were eating our way through Italy.  Anyways here’s some of the food that we’ve cooked up in the past few months. WARNING do no look at these photos if you have not eaten yet. Ian's attempt at Tartine BreadThe Crumb ShotAttempt at gnocchi

For the one person that reads this, sorry for the lack of posting. It was hard to make time to post while in the last few weeks of school. Well, the good news is school is finally over. My brother decided to come up for the weekend and I took a few pictures of us walking around Golden Gate Park.
